Kelly Stafford is intercepting the recent speculation surrounding her health.
The wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is setting the record straight regarding rumors she has cancer, which emerged after she spoke about being concerned about stomach pains.
"There is a bunch circulating right now and want to reiterate that I DO NOT HAVE CANCER," Kelly wrote on Instagram July 24. "If journalists actually took time to check facts these days, they would know this. I'm infuriated. Most the time I wouldn't care what people wrote because it didn't matter."
However, the 34-year-old—who shares four girls, 6-year-old twins Chandler and Sawyer, as well as Hunter, 5, and Tyler 3, with Matthew—explained that these kinds of rumors are harmful to people actually dealing with major health issues.
"This matters because it takes away from the people who are fighting this horrible disease," she continued, "fighting to live another day, fighting to be there with the ones they love, fighting 24/7."
Kelly went on to ask for people to spend their time praying for those who need it.
"So PLEASE send your prayers to them," she said. "I will reiterate it again, I do not have cancer and I have never had cancer. I'm so sorry again for the ones who are fighting."
Further slamming those fueling her health rumors, the former University of Georgia cheerleader added, "You so called journalists out there, be better, and stop using me as click bait because nfl camp is starting back."
Last week, Kelly spoke about some ongoing stomach issues but made it very clear that she wasn't dealing with a major health crisis.
"Real quick, we don't think it's anything," she said on the July 18 episode of her The Morning After podcast. "So, it's not a big deal but it scared the f–k out of me."
And her fear stems from her experience back in 2019 of undergoing surgery to remove a benign brain tumor.
"I feel like my stomach's not great. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking I have cancer." Kelly confessed. "That's where my mind goes because all of a sudden, things are starting to hurt that should be totally fine. And again, this could all be totally just in my head."
She pointed out that ahead of her diagnosis, she'd experienced symptoms like vertigo that she'd simply associated with "getting older." But in this recent stomach instance, she noted, "There is no cancer or anything like that."
Over the years, Kelly has spoken out about her diagnosis with a benign brain tumor and its subsequent removal. In fact, this past April she reflected on the day that changed her life forever.
"April 17, 2019," the mom of four wrote on Instagram alongside a throwback picture of her in the hospital. "A date that, four years later, I look forward to. It's the yearly reminder that I only get one life on this earth and to just enjoy it.. and if ever something challenging or tough comes my way, to rely on the strength God gave me and the ones I love.. because in the end, it's how you respond to those moments that builds character."
She concluded, "So thank you April 17 for helping mold the woman, wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend and everything else, that I am today."
